Psycho oncology services in East Texas
At UT Health East Texas HOPE Cancer Center, we believe psychosocial care is an integral part of cancer treatment. Our specialists are committed to working with patients to develop an individualized treatment plan that optimizes your ability to deal with illness. We’ll help you define your treatment goals and concerns and develop a plan to address them. We work closely with the oncologists, nurses, social workers and other HOPE Cancer Center clinical staff to provide comprehensive, individualized care tailored to your needs.
Psycho oncology services we provide
Psychological services include comprehensive evaluation and psychotherapy for patients and caregivers. Our evaluations can identify an individual’s personality, coping style, and overall goals for reducing emotional distress related to a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Our team of clinical health psychologists provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning in various areas, such as non pharmacological symptom management (including pain management), side-effect management, post-treatment adaptation, psychological distress, and couples and family adjustment.
